Frequently Asked Questions
What is the saturation pressure of R-22 at 75°F?
At 75°F, R-22 has a saturation pressure of approximately 154.7 PSIG (interpolated between 143.0 PSIG at 70°F and 166.4 PSIG at 80°F).
Is R-22 still available?
R-22 production and import was banned in the United States as of January 1, 2020 under the Clean Air Act. Only recovered and reclaimed R-22 is available, which makes it increasingly expensive.
What is the replacement for R-22?
R-410A has been the primary replacement for R-22 in new residential systems since 2010. However, R-410A itself is being phased down, with R-454B emerging as the next-generation replacement.
